Formed in September 2007, AMJO is a 16/17 piece Jazz ensemble that performs the very finest in Big Band music drawing from the libraries of Bands both past and present as well as original material too. The Band features established Scottish talent as well as promising young musicians bustling with desire and energy: an exciting blend of youthful zeal and experience that has quickly seen The Andy Mears Jazz Orchestra establish itself as one of the most exciting musical projects happening in Scotland. Effortlessly swinging and unified in its desire to do so, AMJO respectfully pays tribute to the great bands of the past whilst also offering a platform for composers and arrangers of today.
