Formed in 2009, this trio was chosen as a Tunnell Trust prize-winner in 2010, a remarkable achievement. The ensemble has also been selected for Live Music Now, an organisation which “brings the joy and inspiration of live music to those who have limited access to conventional music-making”. They have performed at venues across the UK, and the Scottish tour that brings them to Dunblane, is sponsored by the Tunnell Trust. The Trust’s endorsement is a hallmark of a very high standard of musicianship and there is every reason to look forward to an outstanding concert. It is a varied programme with a distinctly French feel – Marin Marais and Milhaud to name but two – culminating in Villa-Lobos’s fine Trio.
