Fires of Love is one of the most innovative Early Music groups in Scotland, and to mark the 400th anniversary of the Authorised Version of the Bible, this concert will transport us to Jacobean times. It will be a fascinating and unusual mix of English, Scots and French songs and instrumentals from around 1611, including works by John Dowland and Robert Jones. It is a thought-provoking programme, offering a feast of music familiar to King James and recreating the cultural world that gave birth to the King James Bible.
