The purpose of our Open Platform is to provide an opportunity for local
instrumentalists and singers aged 9 - 18 to perform in public,
non-competitively. DCAG has been offering this annual platform since 1999 and not only have the concerts been very enjoyable
and successful, they have also raised money for several charities, including: Music in Hospitals, Musicians Benevolent Fund,
Young Musicians Trust, Tunnell Trust, Childline and Mary's Meals (in support of Dunblane's Likhubula Link).
This season's Open Platform is on
Sunday 7th March, in
Dunblane Cathedral hall. There is no fee to play and admission to the
concert is by donation.
Entry requirements:
- resident in Dunblane or attending a Dunblane school, or local choir or music group
- age 9 –18yrs
- minimum standard Grade 1
- piece of 3 mins. maximum duration
- acceptance, on fulfilling the above requirements, is on a first come first served basis
- closing date 2nd March
