DCAG's lunchtime platforms take place on the last saturday of the month from September to November and January to May. They are open to any young musician of any standard - from tiny tot to turbulent teen, beginner to advanced - who has a piece to play. The concerts are informal, with a sympathetic audience of performers' family members. They provide an ideal opportunity to venture into performing or try out an exam piece, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The concerts are held in the St.Andrew Room in the Cathedral Halls, and it is open from 11.45am for practising, with an accompanist available if required. The performance begins at 12.15pm. There is often a coffee morning in the main hall where supporters can enjoy refreshments while waiting for the concert to begin.
